Concept of Activity Partnership Concept of Activity Partnership In order to keep the cost of our various services very low and to price various services at affordable levels, without doing any compromise with the quality, ‘Prayas’ does not employ any individual on fixed salary on full time basis except the persons involved in accounting and office work. All activities of ‘Prayas’ are managed by individuals having spare time and aptitude for such activities on income sharing basis on part-time basis. Socially spirited individuals who have some stable source of income to sustain their family (but not very high) but have some spare time which they can devote for managing our activities and make some additional income through sharing of income generated by ‘Prayas’ from its services to various customer groups to supplement their existing income. This part-time working on income sharing basis is called Activity Partnership. It is a type of self-employment as they are not the employees of ‘Prayas’. Vyaktitva Vikas Margdarshaks (VVMs) and Experts are our Activity Partners. All such individuals donate their spare time to ‘Prayas’ in lieu of income sharing. The minimum duration of time which is to be donated by an individual desirous of working as Vyaktitva Vikas Margdarshak is 90 minutes six days a week.

Functions of Activity PartnersNature of activities to be done by our activity partners is as under.

(i) Conducting and managing Prayas Foundation Course and assisting ‘Prayas’ in other activities by Vyaktitva Vikas Margdarshaks (VVMs) and expanding his/her network of VVMs by motivating more an more individuals to work as VVM: Vyaktitva Vikas Margdarshaks (VVMs) conduct and manage various modules of ‘Prayas Foundation Course’ for participants of various groups such as students, adults, working adults, officers/ managers and employees of government departments/PSUs, retired individuals and those aged above 75 years after obtaining free training from ‘Prayas’ under our technical guidance.  He/she is the front line contact person who is in direct contact with the customer. His/her involvement is personal in nature and is not supervisory and in effect he/she is the personal mentor.  He/she not only motivates individuals to participate in relevant module of PFC and also motivates other individuals having spare time to work as VVM under his network and also assist “Prayas’ in their other activities. Bulk of income from PFC is shared with his/her and he/she conducts it as his/her own business. Besides direct income from income sharing he/she also gets network incentive @1% of the gross income generated by VVMs of his network working four levels below him/her. If the number of VVM in his network up to four level below him/her becomes 100 (one hundred) or more he or she becomes entitled for leadership bonus of 1% of the gross earning i.e. his/her network incentives is doubled to 2% of the gross income.

(ii) Providing technical assistance to ‘Prayas’ by Experts:. Experts primarily from the fields of Psychology, Sociology, Management and technology, empanelled with us are called to give mentoring services and are paid 90% of the fee received by “Prayas’. They deal directly with ‘Prayas’ and get direct payments from ‘Prayas’ depending upon type of services given by them.  Requirement for becoming activity partner of ‘Prayas’ Any individual who possess necessary academic qualifications and has the minimum spare time which he/she wishes to invest in doing social services and earn some additional income to supplement his current income, can become our activity partner.  Please consult the registration scheme of concerned Activity Partnership for further details.
