Please consider following events and give your considered opinion.
- When Indian Federal and State Governments gave partial relaxations for some time in corona lock-down restrictions, the longest queues were not seen in the market in front of shops selling items of daily needs which are essential for our survivals but before the liquor shops and buyers of liquor were so desperate to obtain it so quickly that they became out of their senses and broke all COVID protocols risking their lives. Why we want to take shelter of intoxicants in life? Is our life more problematic that the pre-historical humans? Is our life not more easy and full of comforts in comparison to our ancestors? What is so special in various types of liquors which attract people towards them even fully being aware that they are injurious to health?
- According to a new published recently in a road incident, a car hit another car from behind causing some damage. The owner of the front car was got so furious that he kept on hitting the owner of the car which hit his car till he died. Was this such a crime which justified murder? Were other alternatives not available? Why we lose our control on our anger so quickly and do not hesitate to take such action? Why we are so angry? Against whom we have grudge or complain?
- At present few persons are discarding their own parents who are frail and helpless and who sacrificed their all comforts to nurture them to best of their abilities, for their comforts of their nuclear family (self, wife and children) and to live a restriction free life. Why we are becoming so selfish for our own comforts? Do we want that our own children should discard us in our old age? What types of foundation we are laying to build our future? Are we, like Kalidas, not cutting the same branch of tree on which we are sitting?
- Today the ends have become more important than the means of achieving them. Nobody bothers whether the means adopted by him or her is wrong or right, justified or unjustified or ethical or unethical. Today one point agenda is to fulfill our selfish motives somehow even if it causes harm to the interests of others. Why we have become so selfish? Will we be happy if some other individual behaves like this with us?
- The limitless desire of name, fame and wealth is forcing us to enter into cut-throat competition to exploit limited resources thereby causing tension, depression, blood presser and heart ailments and we are losing our sweet sleep. Is it intelligent way of living life? Are we intelligent or fool?
Above types of behavior have been narrated just as few examples of our foolishness. All of us are witness to countless such events which may take days if I sit to narrate them and I and my readers will be tired. Are above types of behaviors not indicative of serious disorder in the personality of concerned individuals and sheer stupidity on their part irrespective of the formal education and training they might have obtained? Can we come out of this chakravyooh of limitless desire, limited personal capability and stupid behavior? Is it not necessary to understand the current strengths and weaknesses (positives and negatives) of our personality and take action to facilitate its integrated development? Please express own opinion in brief without any hesitation. Let us develop a dialogue around this problem which is so important for quality of human resource.
